BCC to Hold Downtown Third Thursday with Special Back-to-School Events

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Berkshire Community College will hold the following events during Downtown Third Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Intermodal Transportation Center on the corner of North Street and Columbus Avenue:
Admissions Counselor Eleanor Velez will be available from 5 to 8 to answer questions regarding BCC’s academic programs and admission policies. Anyone who applies for admission to BCC during this time will have their $10 application fee waived as a Third Thursday special, and apply for Instant Admissions.
Between 4:30 and 6:30 anyone with questions about class offerings and programs may visit with Academic Advisor Vicki Kane. Students will be able to register for fall courses being held at all BCC locations. In addition, there will be free alumni giveaways.
All visitors to the Intermodal Education Center between 6 and 8 can enjoy the sounds of the Berkshire Bateria. Visitors may also enjoy the art exhibit in the new Student Art Gallery and purchase BCC gear from a representative of Follett Education, which owns the BCC Bookstore.
The Intermodal Education Center is located on the second floor of the BRTA building.
