PITTSFIELD, Mass. - July 17, 2009 marks the first anniversary for Chapters Bookstore, located at 78 North St. in Pittsfield. Incorporated in February of 2008, Chapters opened its doors to the public on July 17, 2008, on 3rd Thursday to much excitement.
Throughout the year Chapters has been host to many events and groups. They have hosted Chief Michael Wynn, Dan Valenti, Derek Gentile, Ruth Bass and many more local and nationally known authors, and most recently the store hosted the Pittsfield Garden Tours's annual birdhouse collection.
Many groups take advantage of the available meeting space. Chapters Bookstore has added to their inventory throughout the year, and exclusively carry local artist Suzanne Goudreau prints. In addition to a broad selection of books, Chapters offers cds, videos, magazines and greeting cards. Friday evening, Chapters will be closed for a private celebration.
This Saturday July 18th, starting at 10AM Chapters welcomes the public for a birthday party. DJ Chuck Wright will spin tunes, Max from Max and Ruby will put in an appearance and we will have free face painting, too! We will have a special Birthday Story Time with Aimee, and birthday cake!
This event is free and open to the public. |
