EGREMONT, Mass. - A volunteer group of Egremont residents and businesses have come together to host the second annual Egremont on Parade, a community day celebration for and about Egremont that is free and open to the public. What: Second Annual Egremont on Parade When: Sunday, July 26, 2009, 11:00 a.m. - 4: 00 p.m. Where: French Park on Prospect Lake Road in North Egremont Why: To celebrate Egremont and play host to our Berkshire neighbors
Plans for Egremont on Parade to date include: * “Taste of Egremont" tent of cuisine from various Egremont restaurants * Barbeque lunch put on by the Egremont Fire Department * Children, family, and adult activities * Fun, children's events such as face painting * Silent Auction * Petting Zoo and Pony Rides * “Pride of Egremont" Raffle of items and gift certificates from local area businesses * Artisans & crafter's showing and selling their wares * Information booths for Town of Egremont organizations & departments * DJ to play music and announce events & winners * Mini agricultural fair and farmer's market * WSBS will be broadcasting live and raffling off keys
Egremont on Parade is being sponsored by Berkshire Bank and Salisbury Bank & Trust. Egremont on Parade is being planned as a "Green" event.
