Young Professional Presents Workshop on Using Social Media

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the last in its series of lunchtime workshops designed to help area business owners. The Berkshire Chamber has enlisted the help of experts in the region to provide 60-minute sessions on topics including communication, financial planning, marketing, management, and the use of social media.

The next in this series will be held on Wednesday, May 13th with “NET”working: Building Your Business Through Social Media presented by Christina Barrett, Director of Marketing & Communications at the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. Attendees will learn how social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and MySpace can compliment your business’ marketing plan. The workshop will be held at Hoosac Bank located at 93 Main Street, 4th floor, in North Adams from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and attendees are invited to bring along a brown bagged lunch.

Brown Bag Series workshops are free to members of the Berkshire Chamber. Non-members are typically charged $10 per person to attend; however, to provide additional support to area businesses, Hoosac Bank will cover the cost of the workshop for anyone who wishes to attend.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
