Northern Berkshire Community Coalition hosts forum

Please join the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition on Friday, April 10 as we discuss The Fine LIne Between Encouraging and Pressuring Teens at our monthly Coalition forum. Coalition monthly forums are a vehicle to address current issues.

At the forum discussion about encouraging versus pressuring teenagers, you can expect to participate in a dynamic, highly interactive discussion facilitated by teen members of the UNITY Youth Leadership Program.  You will also experience brief performances and role plays by teen presenters expressing their perspectives on what adults can do to support them, and what kinds of well-intentioned encouragement can sometimes feel like paralyzing pressure to meet certain standards.

We will begin, as always, with a round of introductions, followed by brief announcements of your upcoming events or new projects. Please don’t forget to bring flyers about announcements also, as there will be a display table for them in the center of the room. Childcare can be available for our meeting if you contact the Coalition office before April 7.

We hope to see you on Friday, April 10, 10 a.m. to noon, at the First Baptist Church in North Adams.
