Summer Internship Opportunities at IS183 Art School of the Berkshires

STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. - IS183 is looking for enthusiastic and talented young adults to work side-by-side with our faculty and staff in our established, dynamic art school in the Berkshires. Ideal candidate may be considering a career in education, as well as the arts. IS183 provides a high quality, practical work experience for students interested in perusing an art education career.
The IS183 Summer Young Artist Program runs from June 29 to August 29. Candidates may apply for a 2- to 10-week internship commitment. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.
Candidates must have a willingness to perform a wide variety of teaching and assisting tasks with enthusiasm, to complete requests as instructed, and to show initiative and follow through.
Overall, an intern should be interested in enhancing and participating in the community experience of IS183 with students, parents, teachers, staff and fellow interns. Students as young as 15 years old may apply but preference is given to college age candidates.
Interns receive a stipend of $100/week for their work as well as the opportunity to audit one evening or week-end adult class during the summer. In addition, you may be able to receive academic credit from your college or university.
