NACC Annual Shareholders and Board Meeting

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - North Adams Country Club held their annual Shareholders and Board of Directors meeting at 1 pm on Sunday Jan.25th at the American Legion  North Adams.

Action taken by the shareholders present and mailed in proxies was as follows:

Four new Board members were appointed; Ronald “Pop” Dean, Charles Lewitt, Donald Andrews, and Larry O'Brien. All are longtime members of the club.

John Gaffey was re-elected for a 1 yr. term as Treasurer.

A change was made to Article 8 of the NACC By-laws to read: that all members’ annual dues are to be paid by May 1st for that year’s golf season.

Jason Boucher will be returning as the clubs caterer for special events and parties. He is booking now for the 2009 season.

Immediately following the Shareholders meeting a Board of Directors meeting was held to appoint Officers for 2009.

Bill Morehouse was re-appointed as President, Nate Tatro as Vice President and Velma Prevey as Secretary.

NACC will open in the Spring for the golf season. Full banquet facilities will be available. Caterer Jason Boucher will be running dinner specials on weeknights. Full dinner menu is available on Fridays. Watch for notices of Fri night entertainment!

The board approved the following:

Advertising a Bowling banquet special: Offering bowlers 18 holes of golf with cart for 25.00 on day of event.

New Member Special – 4 can join for the price of 3.

Next Board of Directors Meeting will be on Monday Feb. 9th 6:30 at the Freight Yard Pub.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
