Schiff Promoted to Assistant Vice President/Business Development
10:13AM / Monday, January 19, 2009
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Legacy Banks’ Executive Vice President Steven F. Pierce has announced that Scott Schiff has been promoted to Assistant Vice President focusing on Business Development. Previously, Schiff served as a Mortgage Officer after having joined Legacy in December 2006. In his new role, Schiff will work to expand customer relationships in all areas including personal banking, consumer and commercial lending and portfolio management. He will continue to work from his office at Legacy’s Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington location, but will provide service to clients throughout Berkshire County.
Pierce indicated that Schiff’s strong customer service skills coupled with his financial expertise makes him well suited for this new position. “Since joining Legacy just two years ago, Scott has demonstrated a commitment to matching customers with the products and services best suited to their individual needs. In these challenging times, it is more important than ever for consumers to have a financial advisor to rely on to help them make smart decisions. Scott will help customers identify their needs, match them with the most appropriate Legacy professional, and will then follow up to ensure the needs are being met.”
Prior to joining Legacy, Schiff owned and operated East Street AutoMall, a successful auto dealership specializing in the sale of high-quality pre-owned vehicles from 1989-2006. A native of Berkshire County, he was educated locally at Berkshire Country Day School and The Hall School. He attended the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn. Schiff has been active in the community serving for 14 years as a member of the Pittsfield Rotary Club, having achieved Paul Harris Fellowship status and now as member of the Great Barrington Rotary Club. Schiff also serves as a Corporator of the Boys and Girls Club of Pittsfield. He currently resides in Dalton with his wife, Laurie, and two children.
