Edgar Kosgey claims second NESCAC X-C09:24AM / Tuesday, November 18, 2008
 | | Williams junior Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret Rift Valley, Kenya) | Williams junior Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret Rift Valley, Kenya) has been named the NESCAC male cross-country performer of the week for winning the NCAA New England Qualifier for the second straight year. Kosgey also captured the NESCAC honor in September at Division I Fordham University in the first meet of the season when he also topped the field. The win by Kosgey was a part of an impressive team showing by the Ephs who tallied just 36 points in a field that included 54 teams. Kosgey's winning time on the 8k course at Mt. Greylock HS was 25:52. All five scoring Ephs in the NCAA New England Qualifier finished in the top 14 and earned All-Region honors. This weekend Kosgey will lead the 6th ranked Ephs to Hanover College (IN) for the NCAA Division III Championships. |
