BCC to Hold 8th Annual Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods - October 22, 2008
Berkshire Community College will kickoff its Eighth Annual Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods on Friday, Oct. 31, at 5pm in Park Square.
Following the kickoff, BCC students will canvas selected neighborhoods from 5:30 to 7 to collect canned goods. The neighborhoods to be visited will receive a flyer several days before Oct. 31 notifying them of the event. Anyone who does not receive a flyer, but who wishes to make a donation, can bring non-perishables to BCC’s Susan B. Anthony Center or a local food pantry of their choice.
All donations collected by the students will benefit the Christian Center Food Pantry and Kids’ Place, which are in need of food that can easily be made into well-balanced meals. Examples include rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter and jelly, pork and beans, juice boxes, Goldfish, pretzels, granola bars, dry cereal, and oatmeal.
The event is sponsored by the BCC Student Government Ambassadors.
