Williams sophomore Jack Killea (Ridgefield, CT) and senior co-captain Tyler Zara (New Canaan, CT) each earned All-NESCAC golf honors for the second time in their careers last weekend with their efforts at the NESCAC Qualifier played at Middlebury College. Killea and Zara were instrumental in helping the Ephs finish in the top four at the NESCAC Qualifier and earn a spot in the NESCAC Championship to be played in the spring at Middlebury. Killea earned First Team recognition with his two-day total of 150 that put him in a tie for fifth overall. Killea opened with a first round of 71 and then carded a 79 on the second day. Zara tied for 11th place over the weekend with a two-day total of 153 (78-75) and was named to the All-NESCAC Second Team. Last fall Killea was accorded Second Team All-NESCAC honors, while in 2006 Zara was a First Team selection. The Ephs head to Hamilton College this weekend as the Continentals are hosting an invitational tourney. The fall season will conclude the following weekend at the Trinity Invitational. |
