Sport's Greatest Rivalry Returns To The Lenox Library - July 21, 2008
LENOX - On 27 of July the Lenox Library will broadcast the Red Sox/Yankee game live at 8:05 p.m. in the Roche Reading Park adjacent to the Library located at 18 Main Street. The community is invited to attend the Sunday-night game as the Red Sox host the Yankees at Fenway in the last of the 3 game series.
There will be a 15’ x 10’ screen for the occasion as NESN broadcasts the game. At 7:30 we will begin serving grilled hot dog, hamburgers, soda and chips sponsored by Ethan & Jamie Berg of Lenox. People are also encouraged to bring their own picnics, blankets & chairs and to set up early.
While the event is free, donations are most welcome & appreciated. Donation jars for each team’s fans will be located in the food area.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale that night for 2 tickets to the September 28 game when Boston plays the Yankees at Fenway Park for the last game of the regular season.
All proceeds from this event and the sale of raffle tickets will benefit programs at the Lenox Library. Contact for this event is Lisa Berkel at 413-637-2630 ext 121. |
