As President Bush and Vice-President Cheney prepare to play the inaugural night of its new space in Pittsfield, Zeitgeist Gallery announces a special one-day-only art show featuring paintings by Dee Dee Ramone, the late drummer for the Ramones and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “BUSH-CHENEY: LOUNGE FORCE” is hosted by Bay State operatives Ian Maxwell MacKinnon and Eric Zinman. On Saturday June 28 at 8 p.m., "LOUNGE FORCE" plays Zeitgeist-Pittsfield, at 648 North Street, Pittsfield. That show will be followed by a party at 9:30 p.m. celebrating the maiden voyage of Zeitgeist Gallery in Western Massachusetts. Refreshments will be served; suggested donation $10.

On Friday June 27 at 7:30 p.m., the show takes place at Zeitgeist-North Adams, located at Papyri Books, 45 Eagle Street, North Adams.

The art show will include paintings by Mark Kostabi, whose work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The Guggenheim Museum, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.  Also included in the show are paintings by Paul Kostabi and Wilfredo Arias; more about all four painters can be found at follingallery.com

Bush and Cheney have been represented by MacKinnon and Zinman in three previous plays:  “A Bush-Cheney Christmas,” “The Apotheosis of George W. Bush,” and “The Bush-Cheney ‘Top Gun’ Focus Group.”  Critics have raved. “The show was hilarious”(BOSTON HERALD).  “Pick of the Week”-DNC, 2004 (BOSTON PHOENIX). “Provocative, unsettling humor”(BOSTON GLOBE). MacKinnon (Bush) won a national theater manifesto contest judged by Tony Kushner and others with an entry called “Elect Better Actors.”  Zinman (Cheney) is an acclaimed jazz pianist.
