The First Congregational Church of North Adams, United Church of Christ at 134 Main Street is pleased to announce that this third Sunday of the month will flow in the rhythm of jazz for our Palm Sunday Worship Service.

The service will take place on Sunday, March 16th at 10a.m. in the assembly hall and will feature local musicians Jake Keplinger on bass guitar, Robert Tatten on drums, and on piano, Scott Bailey, Music Minister. The First Congregational Church Choir will offer special Palm Sunday music.

Reflections on the scripture will be shared by Pastor Steven Alspach on the theme “From Hero to Goat to ?”

Coffee Hour and fellowship will follow this uplifting service.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
