GREAT BARRINGTON - Pat Trahanas will be the Housatonic Valley Art League's featured artist at the TD Banknorth branch, 271 Main St., during the month of April. The show is open to the public during regular bank hours.
Trahanas started painting in oils in the early '60s and now paints in acrylics, using a bright and colorful palette. She has exhibited at the museum and the Pittsfield Art Show and is a member of the Housatonic Valley Art League. She has had commissions and sold her work at summer art sales in oils, acrylics and pastels.
Born in Ohio, she attended high school in Germany and has lived in the Berkshires for 30 years. She has worked at the Pentagon, GE, for a lawyer and fpr the Marian Fathers and Brothers in Stockbridge.
The Housatonic Valley Art League is a nonprofit organization with nearly 200 members.
