WCMA Presents Poulenc and Milhaud Concert - October 23, 2007
WILLIAMSTOWN - The Williams College Museum of Art will present a concert with Allison Mondel, soprano, and Dan Foster, piano, in its rotunda, Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m.
“La chanson des rêveurs: Songs of Poulenc and Milhaud” features the songs of Francis Poulenc and Darius Milhaud, who forged a new style built upon modernist ideals and designed to captured the wit, flare and insouciant charm of their age.
Held in conjunction with "Making It New: The Art and Style of Sara and Gerald Murphy," the concert is free and open to the public.
The museum is located on Main Street. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 5 and Sunday from 1 to 5. The museum is wheelchair accessible and admission is free. For more information: 413-597-2429. |
