Berkshire Museum to Offer Nature Walk - September 07, 2007
PITTSFIELD - The Berkshire Museum will offer the guided nature walk "Between the Hills" on Saturday, Sep. 15, at 10 a.m. Natural science program manager Barbara Toomey will lead the program at Farnum’s Crossing in Cheshire. Walkers will explore wetlands associated with the Cheshire Reservoir and the Hoosic River.
The group will stop along the universally accessible path to identify plants, butterflies, insects, birds, herbs, mammals and other things. Cost is $10 ($5 members). Advance registration is required. To register, call 413-443-7171, Ext. 10. Directions and further details will be provided upon registration.
The museum is at 39 South St., Route 7. The galleries are open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays noon to 5. For more information: www.berkshiremuseum.org |
