Special on Nursery Stock

- July 28, 2006

The water table is high and the ground is moist. It continues to be a good time for planting. It has been a turbulent year filled with extremes. Strong winds caused catastrophic damage to some while sparing others. Plants will need tending or replacing. This year through the month of August we will be putting our Nursery Stock plants on sale for 20% off. We have some beautiful specimen trees in stock reasonably priced.

Pick out one, give us a deposit and we will save it for you. We will come out to the site free of charge, advise you and set up a planting date. If you are home to water you can tackle smaller projects on your own. Disaster relief for many is needed. The sale ends September 1st. The plant material looks great and the rest of our fantastic summer sale continues throughout the summer.

There has been a lot of rain and a lot of leaching so fertilizing is important. Hanging baskets and containers should be fertilized weekly with Miracle Gro and flower beds, shrubbery, lawns and hedges should be fertilized with organic fertilizers. Lawns continue to be plagued with Chinchbug problems, fungus and the re-infestation of grubs. In your perennial garden deadheading, cutting back, staking and controlling weeds are important.

Selective pruning on branches here and there that have gotten too tall is a good way to keep your plant height in check without eliminating all of next years flower buds. Be on the lookout for insects. Particularly prevalent are Spider mites and scale insects. Discover early and treat immediately.

As the season progresses, the sale gets even better. Additional sales after the 4th of July are that you can buy a hanging basket and get one free and can purchase a dozen mix and match 4 ½" annuals and get a dozen free. The rest of the Summer sale remains the same and will continue throughout the summer months.

On all items in peat pots: Buy a flat and get a flat free. Buy a dozen get a dozen free. Buy a Market pack and get a pack free.

Twenty five Percent off: Roses, Perennials, Herbs, Vegetables, Hanging Baskets all Annuals including our 4 ½" line, our Tree Form Standards and our beautifully planted Combination Containers. Also on Sale Outdoor Containers, Statues, Bird Baths, Trellises, Fountains and Arbors.
