Mammography Dispute The government's issued controversial new guidelines stating that women shouldn't get annual mammograms until age 50, rather than age 40.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Berkshire Immigrant Center will help residents to apply for the annual Diversity Visa (green card) Lottery on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 88 South Street in Pittsfield.
Assistance will be offered during this time on a first-come first-served basis or on other days by appointment. Attendees are asked to use the Church’s north-side entrance near the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank.
Staff from the Berkshire Immigrant Center will be on hand to take or scan digital photos of applicants and family members and to submit applications as required over the internet. A suggested donation of $5.00 per primary applicant is requested. Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available. Anyone who would like to attend who is in need of an interpreter of another language should contact the Center in advance by calling (413) 445-4881.
The annual DV Lottery makes approximately 50,000 permanent residence visas available to persons from countries with lower rates of immigration to the United States over the past five years. Citizens of the following countries are not eligible to apply this year: Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland), and Vietnam. However, applicants may be eligible if their spouses or parents were born in a qualifying country. Applications must be submitted on-line between October 2, 2009 and November 30, 2009. Qualifying applicants can be residing anywhere in the world and can apply from anywhere in the world. Photos and biographic data of each family member (spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age) must be included in the application.
