Want to get past the stereotypical images of scary bats at Halloween? Then be sure to attend The Wonderful World of Bats program being offered in the Children’s Department of the North Adams Public Library at 10:30 AM on Saturday October, 18, 2008.

Bat expert Jerry Schneider will introduce the wonderful world of bats through a slide show complete with audio of bat sounds.  Learn about bats in our attics, vampire bats, bat eyesight, migration, and hibernation, and bat echolocation.

The program will end with the opportunity to stencil a bat themed T-shirt. You may bring your own shirt (100% cotton works best) or purchase one from Jerry for $4.00. This program is best for children ages 6 and up.
