Bernard R. Lively, 84
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Bernard Roland Lively, 84, of 19 Danforth St. died Friday, July 27, 2012, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Heath on Dec. 9, 1927, son of Roland A. and Marie-Reine Choquette Lively, he attended local schools.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Lively was last employed by R.I. Baker Co. in Clarksburg for more than 20 years.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams and the former Holy Family Church. He was a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed playing the guitar, including performing in local nursing homes.
He leaves his wife, the former Rita Lamarre, whom he married in 1946; a daughter, Lynn Lampiasi of North Adams; two sons, Mark J. Lively of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Bernard D. Lively of Bennington, Vt.; a sister, Mary Blackstone of Lyden; three brothers, Hormidas Lively of Greenfield, Thomas Lively of Heath and Michael Lively of North Adams; two grandchildren, Matthew Lampiasi and Chad Lampiasi; a great-grandson, Anthony Lampiasi; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
His brothers Maurice, Felix, Levi and Paul Lively predeceased him.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Lively will be Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.
Calling hours will be Friday, Aug. 3, from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home.
