Anna Mirante, 76
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anna Mirante, 76, of 34 North St. died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on June 29, 1933, daughter of Antonio and Rosaria Pulanno Mirante, she attended North Adams schools.
Miss Mirante was a homemaker and a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
She leaves two sisters, Celia Mirante and Rachel Canedy, both of North Adams; a brother, Edward Mirante of North Adams, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased her siblings Rachele Mirante in infancy, Beatrice Meranti, Rita Meranti, Mary Aldrich, Letizia "Laddie" Meranti, Salvatore Mirante, Arthur Meranti, Theodore Meranti, James Mirante and Antonio Mirante.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Miss Mirante will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 2, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
