Genevieve A. Nuvallie, 73
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Genevieve Alice Nuvallie, 73, of 14 Marietta St. died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at home.
Born in North Adams on April 26, 1933, daughter of Alice Grennon Pisano and the late Dominic Pisano, she was a 1951 graduate of Drury High School.
Mrs. Nuvallie was employed by the North Adams School System as a special-needs aide for more than 20 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Her husband, Joseph Anthony Nuvallie, whom she married Sept. 29, 1951, in St. Anthony's Church, died Feb. 19, 1992.
Besides her mother, of North Adams, she leaves a daughter, Julie Ann Serrano and her husband, Manuel, of North Adams; three sons, Anthony J. Nuvallie and his wife, Tanya, and Michael F. Nuvallie, both of North Adams, and David A. Nuvallie and his wife, Nancy, of Clarksburg, and eight grandchildren, Anthony J. Nuvallie Jr., Gianina, Allyson, Ethan, Hannah and Olivia Nuvallie, Joseph Serrano and Haylee Jones, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Dominic Pisano Jr., and Joseph A. and Alphonse Pisano.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Nuvallie will be Tuesday, July 25, at 10:15 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Anthony's Church.
Burial will be in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are suggested for the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Diabetes Association, both through the funeral home.
