Elizabeth Mary Mastroianni
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elizabeth Mary Mastroianni, 88, of 94 Lincoln St., a former longtime resident of 307 Walnut St., died Wednesday morning, Nov. 9, 2005, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 11, 1917, daughter of Gregorio and Marianna Cirullo Catrambone, she attended schools there.
Mrs. Mastroianni was employed by the former Jarisch Paper Box Co. for 24 years until her retirement in 1997. Before that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and A. Shapiro & Sons.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of the Jollee Circle and attended the North Adams Adult Day Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Francis Joseph "Bobo" Mastroianni, whom she married May 25, 1946, died June 20, 1979.
She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth "Bet" Azar of Adams; two sons, Francis J. Mastroianni Jr. of North Adams and Donato A. Mastroianni and his wife, Autumn, of Cheshire; two sisters, Rose Vareschi and Domenica "Minnie" Grande, both of North Adams; a brother, Michael Catrambone of North Adams; two grandchildren, Jennifer and William Rennie, and Jason and Jerilyn Azar, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters and another brother, Rita DiSanti, Theresa Deso and Antoinette, Angela and Joseph Catrambone.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Mastroianni will take place Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, former pastor. Burial will follow in the family lot in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 7. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Sweet Brook Activities Fund, or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
