Irene M. Delisle, 69
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Irene Marie Delisle, 69, of 35 Willow Dell, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
Born in Hartford, Conn., on April 17, 1936, daughter of William and Mary Tessier Popielarczyk, she attended schools in Hartford.
Mrs. Delisle was last employed by the former CB Sports. Prior to that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and at the former Berkshire Hathaway Mill.
She was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur. She enjoyed growing violets.
She and her husband, William D. Delisle, were married on Jan. 29, 1955, in Notre Dame church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mary L. Tanner and her husband, Bryan, of Clarksburg and Susan A. Galipeau and her husband, David, of Stamford, Vt.; a son, Robert D. Delisle and his wife, Christa, of Plymouth; a sister, Lois Manyon of Newington, Conn.; a brother, Thomas Popielarczyk of Springfield, and six grandchildren, Aimee and Daniel Tanner, Beth, Charles and Julia Delisle, and William D. Galipeau, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased her son William A. Delisle in 1958 and by two brothers, Joseph and Eugene Popielarczyk.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Delisle will be held Tuesday, June 21, at 10:45 a.m., at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday, June 20, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations to the American Heart Association should be sent in care of the funeral home.
