Leo P. Cyr, 73
STAMFORD, Vt. — Leo Phillip Cyr, 73, of 316 Jepson Road died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at North Adams (Mass.) Commons.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 26, 1934, son of Charles and Marjorie Bordwin Cyr, he attended schools in North Adams.
Mr. Cyr worked for many years as a technician at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. He also had worked for the former J.J. Newberry's Department Store on Main Street in North Adams.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in North Adams. He was a member of the Stamford Volunteer Fire Department and at one time was a captain for the North Adams Auxiliary Police.
He leaves his wife, the former Marion Aubin, whom he married on Dec. 22, 1956; two sons, Eric J. Cyr and his wife, Melissa, of Clarksburg, Mass., and Alan Lee Cyr and his companion, Don Vien, of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Susan Ann DiLorenzo and her husband, Robert, of Stamford; a sister, Carolyn Haggerty and her husband, James, of North Adams; five grandchildren, Christine DiLorenzo, Jillian Cyr, Christopher Cyr, Scott Carpenter and Elizabeth Faust and her husband, Jeremy, and many nieces and nephews.
A brother, Charles A. Cyr, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services and burial for Mr. Cyr will be held at a later date in Millard Cemetery in Stamford at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours. Auge-San Soucie-Simmons Funeral Home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
