Jeanne B. Dupuis, 91
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jeanne Bertha Dupuis, 91, of 150 Ashland St., Ashland Street Apartments, Apt. 8, died Jan. 21, 2001, at Willowood Health Care Center in Williamstown.
Born Aug. 27, 1909, in Adams, daughter of Henri and Alexina Rancourt Clermont, she attended the former Notre Dame School.
Mrs. Dupuis was employed by the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates and by several department stores in North Adams, including the former McGraw and Tatro's, J.J. Newberry's and Bayer's. She last worked at Price Chopper for the S&H Green Stamp program.
She was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame Church and a former member of its choir. At the time of her death, she was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. She was a member of the St. Anne and Ladies of Charity Society and the Le Cercle Francais Club.
Her husband, Orpha Omer Dupuis, whom she married July 8, 1929, in Adams, died Oct. 3, 1976.
She leaves a daughter, Jacqueline Gould of North Adams; a son, William O. Dupuis of Worcester; two sisters, Aline Lord of Adams and Regina Barbeau of Williamstown; two brothers, Armand Clermont of Adams and Edward "Jackie" Clermont of North Adams; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Dupuis will be Thursday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Western Massachusetts Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association through the funeral home.
