Dorothy M. Racette, 86
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dorothy Margaret Racette, 86, of North Adams died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Adams on May 29, 1929, daughter of Arthur and Genevieve Boyer Dupras, she attended Adams schools. She moved to North Adams following her marriage.
Mrs. Racette was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for 33 years, until her retirement in 1981.
She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of the Incarnation Church and was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club.
Her husband, Arthur Joseph "Flash" Racette Jr., whom she married on Aug. 4, 1951, died on the Day of Love, Feb. 14, 1999.
She leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her eight brothers and five sisters, Adelard "T Boy" Dupras, Wilfred Dupras, Francis Dupras, Ernest Dupras, Peter Dupras, Theodore Dupras, James Dupras and Donald Dupras, and Beatrice Belanger, Rose Marie Haskell, Helen George, Jeannette Soha and Mary Knapp.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Racette will be Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Williamstown Commons Activities Fund in care of the funeral home.
