William R. Harrison, 81
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — William R. "Bill" Harrison, 81, a native of North Adams, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Las Vegas.Born on May 5, 1927, son of Cornelius F. and Florence Decoteau Harrington, he moved to Las Vegas in 1964.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Harrington retired from the Clark County School District in Las Vegas after teaching elementary school for 30 years. He had earlier worked as an intelligence officer for the federal government for 12 years.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Judy Harrington; two sons, Thomas Harrington of West Hollywood, Calif., and Daniel Harrington of Los Angeles, and a brother, Cornelius F. Harrington Jr.
Another brother, Robert A. Harrington, survived him by one week.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Mr. Harrington was held in Las Vegas on April 19. A graveside service will be held in Southview Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m., when he and his brother Robert will be laid to rest in the family lot.
