Frank L. Edmonds, 77
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Frank L. Edmonds, 77, of 297 River St. died Monday, July 20, 2009, in Albany, N.Y.Born in Mechanicville, N.Y., on Dec. 9, 1931, son of Frank and Gladys Cook Edmonds, he moved with his family to Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and in 1940 to North Adams, where he attended schools.
Mr. Edmonds was employed at the former Widen Tannery, retiring in 1979. He also had worked at the Mohawk Theater and the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co.
He enjoyed video tapes and the New York Yankees.
His wife, the former Arlene Mason, whom he married June 26, 1954, died Nov. 30, 2007.
He leaves a daughter, Carol Bradley and her husband, Patrick, of North Adams; two sisters, Arlene Mulson of North Adams and Ruby Grifford of Rutland, Vt.; two grandchildren, David Bradley of North Adams and Denise Serre of Peabody; two great-granddaughters, Cassandra and Jenny Serre, and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Private burial will take place in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
