David J. Favreau, 54

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. â€' David John Favreau, 54, of 17 Jackson St. died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Williamstown Commons after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Born in North Adams on Dec. 28, 1954, a son of Alfred Favreau and the late Eleanor "Helen" Canale Favreau, he attended North Adams schools and graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton. He lived in the state of Florida for 25 years, returning to North Adams in 2001.

Mr. Favreau was employed by Countryside Landscaping in Williamstown.

He enjoyed music and was the drummer in the Jake Larkin Band.

Besides his father, of Adams, he leaves his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and James Anello of Cheshire.

FUNERAL NOTICE â€' Services for Mr. Favreau will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.

Dave was a close friend growing up in my early years in Dalton, MA We spent a number of years together playing baseball at Chamberlain Park and swimming in his pool.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing on and extend my deepest sympathies to his family.
