Mildred E. Tatro, 89
CLARKSBURG, Mass. - Mildred E. Tatro, 89, of Middle Road died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at North Adams Regional Hospital.Born in North Adams on July 6, 1919, daughter of Archer A. and Jessie Latimer Jones, she attended Drury High School.
Mrs. Tatro retired from Excelsior Process and Engraving Co. in North Adams as a proofreader.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams and, in her younger years, was a member of the Girls Friendly Society. An avid gardener, she also enjoyed spending time with family and activities at the Clarksburg Senior Center.
Her husband, Clarence E. Tatro, whom she married Sept. 30, 1944, died June 2, 2000.
She leaves three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Earl Ingalls of Clarksburg, Nancy and Lee Edwards of Adams
and Shirley and William Geno of Pownal, Vt.; a sister, Lilla Dickinson of North Adams; four grandchildren, Sherrill Ingalls of California, Brian Ingalls of Northampton, Scott Ingalls of Clarksburg and Michelle Raymer of Becket; great-grandchildren Molly Ganz, Emma, Maisy, Samuel and Spencer Ingalls, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers Archer Jones Jr. and Harold Jones, her sister Edna Burdick and grandson Tracy Edwards.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, March 27, at 10 from St. John's Episcopal Church, 59 Summer St., North Adams, by the Rev. Edward A. King, rector. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Clarksburg Senior center in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by Auge-San Soucie-Simmons Funeral Home, 46 North Church St., North Adams.
