Joan A. Braman, 66
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Joan A. Braman, 66, of 611 State Road, Holy Family Terrace, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at home.Born in Williamstown on Jan. 28, 1943, daughter of Bernard F. and Madeline A. Odell Boyer, she attended schools there, including the former Williamstown High School. She resided at 242 White Oaks Road in Williamstown before moving to North Adams.
Mrs. Braman was employed at Steinerfilm Co. for 30 years.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with them and supporting all their activities.
Her husband, Walter A. Braman, died Dec. 3, 2007.
She leaves two daughters, Lisa Braman and Laurie Lingner and her husband, John, all of Pownal, Vt.; a son, Scott Braman and his wife, Amber, of North Adams; two sisters, Claire Kristensen of Lanesborough and Rosalie Richard of Pittsfield; a brother, Francis Boyer of Bellbrook, Ohio; two grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Braman, a stepgrandson, Jacob Lingner, and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Braman will be conducted Wednesday at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, by the Rev. Peter Pierson. Burial will take place at a later date in North Pownal Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for St. Jude's Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
