Jeanne Sullivan, 82
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jeanne Sullivan, 82, of 76 Cherry St. died Thursday, Feb, 12, 2009, at North Adams Commons.Born in North Adams on Nov. 5, 1926, a daughter of Joseph and Sarah Giroux Lauzon, she attended the former Holy Family Grammar School and graduated from the former Notre Dame High School in 1943.
Mrs. Sullivan was employed in the financial field at various businesses in North Adams and Pittsfield.
She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mercy Church. She loved to do crossword puzzles and was a volunteer for the Elder Services' Meals on Wheels program for many years.
Her husband, Frederick "Paul" Sullivan, whom she married April 11, 1953, died on March 31, 1985.
She leaves several nieces and nephews and her longtime companion and friend, Henry Lescarbeau.
She was predeceased by four brothers, William Lauzon, Edward Lauzon, Joseph Lauzon and Francis Lauzon, and three sisters, Doris Bell, Anne Archambault and Alice Carson.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Sullivan will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Elizabeth's Church in care of the funeral home.
