Antoinette M. Richer, 76
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Antoinette Marie Richer, 76, 675 Reservoir Road died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at home.Born in Troy, N.Y., on Sept. 19, 1933, daughter of Raymond and Almina LeBeau Trottier, she attended North Adams schools including the former St. Joseph's High School. She also completed an office administrator course through the New York State Vocational Education System. She lived in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., for many years until moving back to North Adams in 2004.
Mrs. Richer was employed as a secretary in the Planning Office of Saratoga County, N.Y., until her retirement in 2000. She also held a New York State real estate license.
She was a member of the Harper Center in Williamstown.
Her husband, Arthur Guy Richer, whom she married on Nov. 3, 1952, died on Sept. 19, 2003.
She leaves three daughters, Deborah Crowley and her husband, Jay, of North Adams, Mina Zaffarano and her husband, Chester, of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and Donna Gallup and her husband, Robert, of Saratoga Springs; five grandchildren, Jay Crowley Jr., Daniel Zaffarano, Cory Zaffarano, Madison Gallup and Ava Gallup, two great-grandchildren, Daniel Crowley and Gracie Crowley, and nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by another daughter, Karen Richer, her granddaughter Chelsea Crowley, and her brother and sister.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Richer will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a hospice of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
