Arlene E. Edmonds, 71
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Arlene Edith Edmonds, 71, of 297 River St. died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at North Adams Regional Hospital.Born in North Adams on June 23, 1936, daughter of Homer and Malvina Companion Masson, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Edmonds was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1996. Before that, she worked at the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. for 21 years.
She was a communicant of the North Adams Catholic Community and the former Notre Dame Church. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.
She and her husband, Frank L. Edmonds, were married June 26, 1954, in Notre Dame Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Carol Lynn Bradley and her husband, Patrick, of North Adams; two grandchildren, David Bradley and Denise Serre, and a great-granddaughter, Cassandra.
She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Sawyer.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Edmonds will be Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Francis' Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Francis' Church Building Fund through the funeral home.
