NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Arthur Homer Daniels Jr., 90, of 209 Mohawk Forest Blvd., died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.Born in North Adams on Nov. 10, 1916, son of Arthur H. Daniels Sr. and Bernice McIntyre Daniels, he attended Drury High School.
Mr. Daniels was employed by the former Parker Machine Co. for 10 years, retiring in 1978. Before that, he was a painting contractor and worked at several mills in North Adams.
He was a member of Jesus Saves Tabernacle.
He and his wife, the former Priscilla Jones, were married July 29, 1936.
Besides his wife, he leaves five daughters, June Terricola of Lebanon, Tenn., Donna Stever of North Adams, Ruth Marszalek and Nola Briggs, both of Adams, and Loula Peck of Clarksburg; three sons, Colin Daniels of Lancaster, Pa., Millard Daniels of the town of Florida and Alden Daniels of Heath; two sisters, Ivis Lewis of North Adams and Eleanor Brown of Bennington, Vt.; a brother, William Stewart Daniels of Williamstown; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Daniels in 1970, and two sisters, Constance Daniels in 1920 and Dorothy Whitehead on April 22, 1988.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Arthur H. Daniels Jr., who died Thursday, April 19, 2007, will be Monday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial gifts may go to the charity of one's choice, in care of the funeral home. Mr. Daniels was devoted to his family.
