Eleanor R. Favreau, 80
ADAMS, Mass. â€' Eleanor Rose "Helen" Favreau, 80, of 17 Pleasant St., died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown.Born in North Adams on May 14, 1926, daughter of Nicola and Venerena Salvatore Canale, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Favreau was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 10 years, retiring in 1974. Before that, she was employed by the former H.W. Clark Biscuit Co. and the former Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown.
Following her retirement, she and her husband moved to Delray Beach, Fla., where they lived for 26 years, returning to Adams in 1998. She loved cat and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing golf.
She and her husband, Alfred J. Favreau, were married Aug. 3, 1946.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Karen M. Anello and her husband, James, of Cheshire; a son, David J. Favreau of North Adams; a brother-in-law, Anthony Favreau, and nieces and nephews, including Carmen Brendza.
Four brothers and three sisters are deceased: John, Anthony, Joseph and James Canale and Carmen King, Theresa Allegra and Angela Lefebvre.
FUNERAL NOTICE â€' The funeral for Helen Favreau will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial also will be private.
