Margaret Petravice, 91
ADAMS, Mass. — Margaret Petravice, 91, of 23 Murray St. died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at North Adams Commons.Born in Adams on Oct. 14, 1915, daughter of Jacob and Margaret Petz Diesz, she attended Adams schools.
Mrs. Petravice was employed for 31 years by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams as an expediter and senior clerk. Previously, she worked for the Berkshire Hathaway Co. for 12 years.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas, and a member of the St. Thomas Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed reading, gardening and dressmaking.
Her husband, Matthew Petravice, whom she married Sept. 2, 1935, died Dec. 17, 1991.
She leaves a daughter, Nancy Rousseau of Adams; a sister, Helen B. Ostrowski of Adams; four grandchildren, Matthew, Brett, Steven and Michael Rousseau, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Margaret Petravice, who died Jan. 1, 2007, will take place Thursday at noon from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams. The Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Community of Adams, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to the time of service. Donations in her memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
