Theresa D. Lamoureux, 75
LENOX, Mass. — Theresa Denise Cecile "Terry" Lamoureux, 75, of 109 Housatonic St. died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at the home of her daughter Anne Marie Shurtleff of Fawn Ridge, Stephentown, N.Y.Born in North Adams on Nov. 22, 1931, daughter of Joseph H. and Mary Moreau Allard, she graduated from the former Notre Dame School. She lived in North Adams most of her life.
Ms. Lamoureux retired in 1989 from North Adams Regional Hospital, where she supervised the cafeteria. Before that, she worked at the former Dug Out Restaurant in Williamstown and at the former Liggett's Drug Store and Boston Store.
She was a parishioner of Notre Dame Church in Adams and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Ms. Lamoreux loved spending time with her family and vacationing in Maine. She was a supportive and devoted mother to her five daughters.
Besides her daughter and son-in-law Arthur Shurtleff, she leaves four other daughters, Denise M. Nagle and her husband, David, of Westfield, Donna M. Ellis and her husband, Michael, of Pittsfield, Kimberly A. Kaigle and her husband, Kenneth, of Cheshire and Karen Lamoureux of Adams; a sister, Alice Kawa of Williamstown; two brothers, Joseph Allard of Clearwater, Fla., and Rolland Allard of Denver; 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Chad and David Nagle, Anthony Nuvallie Jr., Gianina Nuvallie, Kenneth Kaigle Jr., Jesse Kaigle, Stephanie, Shannon, Adam and Megan Shurtleff and Amber Swartz; five great-grandchildren, Daran Bonneville, Cameron Meauley, Sky Nicole Monterio, and Ythen and Zachery Kaigle; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by five sisters, Rachel Jowett, Jeanne A. Zdon, Lucille LaBonte, Claire Rondeau and Rita Moreau, and by three brothers, Bernard, Conrad and Wilfred Allard.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Ms. Lamoureux will take place Thursday at 8:45 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Notre Dame Church in Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Community Hospice program of New York, both through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
