Roy A. Mullett, 47
STAMFORD, Vt. — Roy A. Mullett, 47, of 276 Arcadia Drive died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital, where he was taken after being stricken early in the morning at home.Born in Stamford on Dec. 27, 1958, son of Alfred D. Mullett and the late Priscilla Lawrence Mullett, he attended schools there and graduated in 1977 from Mount Anthony High School in Bennington, Vt.
Mr. Mullett had been employed by Nolan Excavating in Stockbridge, Mass., since May 2005. Before that, he was self-employed as a logger.
He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church in North Adams and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He and his wife, the former Denise M. Potvin, were married Aug. 18, 1979, in St. John Bosco Church.
Besides his wife and father, of Readsboro, he leaves two daughters, Rachelle M. Mullett and her fiance, James Bleau, of Adams, Mass., and Nadine L. Tifft and her husband, Paul Tifft Jr., of Heartwellville; two sons, Roy A. Mullett Jr. and Andrew J. Mullett, both at home; a brother, Steven Mullett of Stamford; two sisters, Barbara Martin of North Adams and Brenda Dente of Readsboro; his paternal grandmother, Nettie Burdick Mullett of Bennington, and four granddaughters, Christina, Gabrielle, Emily and Natalie Tifft, and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Roy Alan Mullett will be Friday Jan. 13, at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church celebrated by the Rev. David Engo. Burial will be in the spring in Millard Cemetery in Stamford.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 8. Donations to the Roy Mullett Children's Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
