Her husband, whom she married on Oct. 30, 1948, died in March 2000.

Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, George Jeffrey of Gardner; another daughter, Gail Roy Van Slycke of Williamstown; five sisters, Lillian Schafer of Pittsfield, Dorothy Poplaski of Pahrump, Nev., Doris Mary Heyes of Williamstown, Helen O'Neill of Adams and Florence Diodati of Williamstown; a brother, Clarence Hannaleck of Largo, Fla., 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Ethel Roy will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church, Southworth Street, Williamstown.

She chose to donate her remains to the Anatomical Gift Program of the Albany (N.Y.) Medical College in hopes of doing what she could to further the study and cure of Crohn's disease. With this in mind, she requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
