STAMFORD, Vt. — Roberta Ann "Bobbie" Costine, 61, of 25 The Lane died Friday, June 11, 2004, at North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital.Born in Adams, Mass., on Nov. 17, 1942, daughter of John and Mary Toohey Walsh, she was a 1959 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. She then attended a hairdressing and beauty school in Springfield, Mass.
Mrs. Costine was employed as the manager of Treet Cleaners & Launderers in Williamstown, Mass., retiring in 1992. She had also worked as the activities director at the former Adams Rest Home facility in North Adams.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
She and her husband, Richard C. Costine, were married June 7, 1985, in Stamford Community Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Suzanne Bullett of Stamford and Mary Beth Finney-Andrus of Northampton, Mass.; two sons, John Finney of Buxton, Maine, and James Finney of Newmarket, N.H.; two brothers, Thomas Walsh of Adams and James Walsh of Williamstown, Mass.; a sister, Mary Potter of Plainfield, Mass., and four grandchildren, Meagan Bullett, Michael Bullett, Emily Finney and Collin Finney.
She was predeceased by her brother John "Jack" Walsh.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Private family funeral services for Mrs. Costine will take place at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME for FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.
Private burial will follow in the family plot in Millard Cemetery in Stamford. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Stamford Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
