Blanche M. Young, 85
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Blanche Marie Young, 85, of 55 Pines Lodge Park died Sunday evening, May 16, 2004, at Williamstown Commons.Born in Williamstown on Feb. 24, 1919, daughter of Hector and Cecelia Reopel Boyer, she attended schools here, including the former Williamstown High School.
Mrs. Young was employed by the former General Cable Corp. for more than 30 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick & St. Raphael's Parish.
Her husband, William C. Young, whom she married May 3, 1952, in Pownal, Vt., died June 27, 1989.
She leaves two daughters, Linda King of Ballground, Ga., and Liz Chesbro of Williamstown; a brother, Donald Boyer of Williamstown; three sisters, Gertrude McGowan and Madeleine Boyer, both of Williamstown and Doris Mazza of North Adams, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 19, at 11 in St. Raphael's Church, Williamstown, by the Rev. Mark Burke, SJ, pastor of St. Patrick and St. Raphael's Parish. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Village Ambulance Service, Williamstown, through AUGE-SAN SOUCIE- SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
