NORTH ADAMS, Mass. â€' Tina-Marie Leja, 41, of 1205 Clark St., Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of North Adams, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Fort Collins.Born in North Adams on April 1, 1962, daughter of Bernard V. and Mary Florini Germanowski, she graduated as salutatorian from Drury High School in 1980 and with honors from Smith College in Northampton in 1984, receiving a bachelor of arts in English.
Ms. Leja had been employed as a learning system architect by Hewlett-Packard Corp. for 19 years.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church in Fort Collins, where she taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. While in North Adams, she was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
She was a member of the Rocky Mountain Society for Technical Communications and the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Computing Machines' Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction.
Besides her parents, of North Adams, she leaves a brother, John B. Germanowski and his wife, Deborah Bourquard Germanowski, of Lenox, and a nephew, Matthew J. Germanowski of Lenox.
FUNERAL NOTICE â€' The funeral for Tina-Marie Leja will be Friday, Feb. 6, at 9:30 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 at St. Anthony's Church, 64 Marshall St., by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for the Larimer County Humane Society or to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
