John P. Miller, 38
ADAMS, Mass. — John Patrick Miller, 38, of 82 Park St. died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at home following a brief illness.Born in North Adams on Oct. 31, 1964, son of Frances Anne Hurley Miller of North Adams and the late Ralph Leo Miller Sr., he attended local schools, including Drury High School.
He was a member of Company A, 204th Infantry, Massachusetts National Guard in North Adams for six years.
Mr. Miller was employed as a laborer for several companies in the area.
He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church in North Adams. He enjoyed music and working on televisions and old cars.
Besides his mother, he leaves his former wife, Theresa Scutt Whitney of North Adams; two daughters, Kelley Miller and Ashley Miller, both of North Adams; a son, John P. Miller Jr. of North Adams; three sisters, Rita Vaughn of Strasburg, Pa., Andrea Goodell of Clarksburg and Rosemary Boudreau of Adams; three brothers, Ralph L. Miller Jr. and Victor D. Miller, both of North Adams, and Ronald Arthur Miller of Adams.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Alan Joseph Miller.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mr. Miller will take place Friday at 6 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Oakhill Cemetery, Pownal, Vt.
Calling hours will be today, Wednesday, from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Northern Berkshire YMCA through the funeral home.
