William G. Pinsonnault, 75
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — William G. Pinsonnault, 75, of F-1 Pondview Drive died Monday, June 17, 2002, at home.Born in North Adams on June 13, 1927, son of William and Beatrice Cyr Pinsonneault, he was a graduate of Drury High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in business administration, with a major in accounting, from Boston University in 1952.
He was a 1956 graduate of the Advance Training Center of Internal Revenue Agents at the University of Michigan. In 1964, he received a certificate from the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy to practice as a certified public accountant.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Pinsonnault was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department as an Internal Revenue agent in the Pittsfield office from 1953 until January 1961, at which time he opened his own accounting practice at 7 North St. In 1987, he joined William J. Fenton, CPA, to become Fenton, Pinsonnault & Co., PC, Certified Public Accountants.
He was a member of St. Agnes' Church at one time.
He leaves a son, Scott M. Pinsonnault of Stamford, Conn.; a daughter, Pamela Jae Endyke of Groveland, and a sister, Ivonnette Quirk of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial mass for Mr. Pinsonnault will be held Thursday, June 20, at 9 a.m. at St. Agnes' Church, with the Rev. Daniel B. Brunton officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the charity of one's choice in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
