Alice P. Carson, 72
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Alice Patricia Carson, 72, of 45 Spring St. died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at home.Born in North Adams on June 19, 1929, daughter of Edward and Sarah Giroux Lauzon, she attended the former Holy Family Elementary School and graduated as salutatorian from the former St. Joseph's High School in 1947.
Mrs. Carson was employed by the former Greylock Mill for several years and by Aladco in Adams. She last worked for ARA Food Services at Hoosac Hall at the former North Adams State College for 15 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Stamford (Vt.) Community Church.
Her husband, George R. Carson, whom she married Sept. 29, 1951, died May 4, 1996.
She leaves a daughter, Kimberly R. Carson of Clarksburg; two sisters, Jeanne Sullivan of North Adams and Valerie Bell of Compton, Calif.; and her granddaughter, Kayleigh Carson Morin and her husband, David A. Morin, and several nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A son, Kelley C. Carson, died in 1976, a daughter, Vanessa J. Carson, in 1998 and her sisterAnne Archambault, in September.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 1, at 3 at Auge-San Soucie-Simmons Funeral Home in North Adams. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Clarksburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1 until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247.
