Lucian Siciliano, 86
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lucian Benedict Siciliano, 86, of 745 West Heber St., Glendora, Calif., formerly of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora.Born in North Adams on Jan. 14, 1915, son of City Councilor and local businessman Angelo Siciliano and Mary "Annette" Olivier Siciliano, he graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School. He was also a former longtime resident of Horrigan Road in Clarksburg.
Mr. Siciliano joined his father in the operation of the former Siciliano Ice Cream and Candy Store and later the Siciliano Shoe Store. He was also employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for a few years. He then became a licensed insurance agent and worked for the Metropolitan Insurance Co. in the city until his retirement in 1975.
He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was a member and past president of the Clarksburg Lions Club during the 1970s. He also served as town treasurer for Clarksburg from 1979 to 1985. Following his retirement, he volunteered at the North Adams Regional Hospital for several years
His wife, the former Gladys Edna Perras, whom he married Oct. 18, 1941, in Notre Dame Church, died Dec. 29, 2000.
He leaves a daughter, Carol A. Crist of Glendora, with whom he had resided since January; a sister, Rita A. Jones of San Antonio; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased, Angelo Siciliano, Oliver Siciliano, Patricia Andrew and Cecilia Scarbo DiLego.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Siciliano will be Monday at 10:15 at from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. The funeral Mass will be at 11 at St. Francis Church. Burial will be at a later date in the family plot in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 7. Donations may be made to the Leukemia Society or the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
