Chelsea L. Crowley, 18

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. â€' Chelsea L. Crowley, 18, of 160 Barlow Ave., died Wednesday evening, Jan. 3, 2001, as a result of an automobile accident.

Born in North Adams on Sept. 23, 1982, a daughter of Jay F. and Deborah Richer Crowley, she attended local schools including Conte Middle School, where she played on the basketball team, and Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown.

Ms. Crowley was employed as a certified nursing assistant at the Willowood Health Care Center. She also was employed part time at Gibb's service station.

She attended First Baptist Church and loved to draw and go fishing with family.

Besides her parents, with whom she resided, she leaves a son, Daniel E. "D.J." Hawley Jr., at home; a brother, Jay F. Crowley Jr. of Adams; her paternal grandmother, Betty Roberts Carpenter of Adams; her maternal grandparents, Arthur and Antoinette Trottier Richer of Middle Grove, N.Y., nd her companion, Daniel E. Hawley Sr. of North Adams.

FUNERAL NOTICE â€' Funeral service for Ms. Crowley will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with David Anderson, director of Christian education at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours at funeral home will be Sunday from 5 to 8. Memorial donations are suggested for the Chelsea L. Crowley Son's Education Fund through the funeral home.
